It's a little foggy, but you can sort of see the hills in the distance. What's weird is it was completely overcast (no blue sky) in Santa Monica, but completely clear (not a single cloud) at UCLA, despite them being very close to one another.

That is typical of LA. The coast line will often be foggy, especially in the morning, while just inland a little it will be completely clear!!
